In family therapy, you'll find a safe and supportive space to work through many challenges like anxiety, depression, and major life challenges or changes. The approach is not one-size-fits-all; instead, it's an integrative and personalized experience tailored to your specific needs.
As an LMFTA in Washington, I have clinical experience and training with a wide range of modalities to provide you support and resources in therapy— including Gottman Method (Level 2), externship-level Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Prepare/Enrich, and TF-CBT certification.
Integrative family therapy may also draw from a combination of evidence-based person-centered therapies & elements of CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Narrative, Play/Art/Music therapy, and mindfulness— all of which can be tailored to an experiential style treatment while being trauma-informed.
Family therapy provides a supportive environment for the entire family to address challenges and improve your dynamic as a system. The focus is on communication, understanding one another's perspectives, and working together to create a healthier family environment.
Leveraging a diverse range of approaches, I will help your family navigate conflicts and life adjustments. Additionally, sessions are often experiential. While we talk, we also may incorporate Play, Art, and Music Therapy to help family members express themselves in meaningful ways. The ultimate goal is to help your family build healthier relationships and cultivate a stronger, more supportive family unit.
