Who we are

Through 20 years of customer service, I came to understand the heart of serving others. I noticed that, for many people, ordering a coffee or something to eat was more than just satisfying hunger or thirst; it was a search for human connection.

Since then, I have pursued a passion for being a lifelong learner with a growth mindset. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University; this provided a backbone to understanding human behavior and becoming a well-informed therapist. I also obtained an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University and currently practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFTA).

My journey as a therapist reflects my interest in helping others through dedication, compassion, and a growth mindset. As a therapist and owner of a private practice, The Growth Space: Counseling and Therapy Services, PLLC, I strive to be a resource and support to help others achieve while providing counseling and therapy to individuals, couples, and families.

Therapeutic Practice

Therapy with me is integrative, as I practice within elements of a humanistic approach alongside cognitive-behavioral theories, attachment theory, and experiential work. As a therapist, my overall philosophy is that we are all inherently relational and have needs to feel understood and connected. I believe and advocate for healthy relationships and personal growth; Change starts, in part, by having a healthy relationship with oneself. At the same time, I bring awareness to mental health while normalizing symptoms, which can be due to social and cultural (systemic) contributions and life experiences.

I believe your overall personal identity and relationship to self/other are integral to your well-being. I strive to incorporate any gender, sexual, religious, spiritual, cultural, or social elements that feel important to you— as my guiding principle is to show acceptance that honors and respects your individuality. At the same time, together we focus on creating change and breaking patterns to be the best version of ourselves. You are stronger than you think, and your worth is unconditional.
